As I go through my thesis proposal class with Dr. Greenberg, she is encouraging me to look for other fairy tales that might assist me in my research. I've heard of The Brothers Grimm and their fairy tales but I've only really explored their version of Cinderella. I discovered that, while there are some similarities, their take on the tale is extremely more dark and gory than the Disney tale. I won't go into the details but the story includes mutilation, abuse, neglect, a blood filled slipper, and people's eyes being pecked out by birds. EEEKKK! The Cinderella that I know and love would not be impressed. Because of this shocking revelation, I have decided to devote my advertisement project to The Brothers Grimm and their tale of Cinderella. I'm actually really excited for everyone to see the finished product. I think it's a very unique choice of topic.
